Welcome to Wondering Lens
I’m Vajira Panagoda, a cityscape and travel photographer based in the vertical city of Hong Kong. This space is a visual journal of my explorations—a curated collection of moments where architecture meets atmosphere, and order emerges from the urban chaos.
For me, photography is the perfect marriage of my two greatest passions: travelling and capturing the world through my lens. It’s the act of wondering—wandering new streets with curiosity, waiting for the light to hit just right, and framing the scenes that tell a story.
Based out of Hong Kong, I am constantly inspired by my own backyard. I love to explore a city where towering skyscrapers and iconic landmarks exist in harmony with lush greenery and hidden beaches. My focus is always to find the scenes that reveal the city’s dual personality.
When I travel further afield, my lens is drawn to the energy of foreign streets. I aim to capture the vibrant colors, the deep shadows, and the intimate details that make each destination unique. Whether I’m shooting the sprawling scale of a megacity or a quiet, fleeting moment on a side street, my goal remains the same: to find order in the chaos and share the beauty I see.
